Teaching & Academic Leadership
I teach because the shortage in cybersecurity is not a shortage of tools — it is a shortage of people who understand them. That work happens in two places: a university lecture room, and an academy I founded to take people with no prior experience into the profession.
Two rooms, one purpose
Adjunct Professor
Teaching cybersecurity and information technology at degree level, alongside work as a security researcher and instructional systems specialist. Students get a practitioner still in practice — someone bringing current engagements and live research into the room, not lecture notes written a decade ago.
Founder, Thoth Academy
A professional academy I founded to move people from no prior experience into cybersecurity, information security and cloud careers — with a depth of federal compliance training that general bootcamps do not attempt.
From zero experience to job‑ready
Five programmes forming one pathway. Each builds on the last, from foundations through federal compliance specialization to placement — with hands-on labs throughout rather than lecture recordings.

Six routes into the profession
Each track goes deep on a single domain, building directly on the advanced programme.
How I teach
Cybersecurity is badly served by passive instruction. You cannot lecture someone into competence on a subject where the whole job is judgement under uncertainty.
"Thoth Info‑Tech Academy envisions a world where self-assured and proficient cybersecurity professionals shape a secure digital future — empowering individuals with no prior experience to pursue meaningful careers while contributing to the safety of digital landscapes worldwide."
Starting earlier
Children are online long before anyone teaches them how to be safe there. The Kids Academy gives 8–16 year olds online safety, digital ethics and cybersecurity fundamentals through storytelling, games and team challenges — the same subject matter, pitched properly.
Scholarship places are reserved each cohort for underserved young learners.
