Cyberattack Strategies for Nonprofit Organizations
A qualitative multiple case study examining the strategies nonprofit organizations employ to protect against cyberattacks, drawing on IT managers and directors responsible for security management. Nonprofits were a deliberate choice of population: they hold sensitive data and serve vulnerable people, yet rarely have the budgets or in-house expertise enterprises take for granted. That gap between exposure and capacity is where the most consequential risk tends to sit — and it is the same gap that shapes my work in developing economies today.
